Going Strong!

The Mojave Makers is gaining steam.  We are further organizing the space, and some projects have been started.  Now that things are moving along, we are able to reduce the full membership fee to $50 per month.

Ready for Projects!

The space is fully set up and ready for members to start on their projects.  If there are any tools you are unsure of how to use, just ask!  Someone will be glad to get you going.

We are finally ready to open

We are moved in to our new shop in Building 141, at 16722 Roper Street on the Mojave Air and Space Port. There is still a lot to do, but the shop is ready for use. We are planning an open house on Saturday, June 4th, where you can see what we have to offer.

This is no April Fool’s joke!

IMG_6480We have building 141 as of April 1, and will be ready to start moving in this weekend. We will be meeting at building 141 this Friday at 5 pm to start planning. In addition, I have an agreement from my former employer to put some equipment on loan indefinitely, which could end up as a donation. This includes a milling machine, lathe, welding equipment and much more. He is coming to Mojave next week to make a plan for that equipment so some time next week we can start setting that up.

For anyone who is interested in getting involved with MM who is not already on our email list, here is a map of the airport showing the location of building 141.

Building 141 Available

IMG_6480We have found another building available on the airport that better suits our needs. It is Building 141, and it would be much cheaper and is already in usable condition. One of our prospective members is working on the lease, and we might be able to move in within a week or two. We will be having a meeting there tomorrow at 11:30. If you are interested in joining then you are welcome to join us, or you can download the membership agreement from this site.

There is an office and restroom, as well as a fenced in area outside. The airport is still doing some work on it but it will be complete by the time we are ready to move in.
